Rio Tinto are the Official Metal Provider for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and will exclusively provide the metal to produce the 4,700 gold, silver and bronze medals at the Games. Team Storey Sport are working with Rio Tinto to provide an elite athlete's insight into the Games and support their Mine To Medal Story. Ambassador, Sarah Storey and assisted by Barney in certain projects around sports technology, Team Storey Sport will be facilitating the association between these two athletes and the incredible association Rio Tinto has with the Games. Being the Official Metal Provider to London 2012 means Rio Tinto are able to ensure every medallist goes home with a unique piece of this worldwide company. Sustainably mined in Utah and Mongolia, the metal for the 2012 medals can be traced to source and there are not many sponsors of the Games that are able to send a medallist home with something so special!
